Recently Trump had a interview with 60 minutes, regarding about all the current issues, from North Korea to Justice Kavanaugh. Trump’s thoughts on North Korea is that he did a favor to Untied States since trump befriended Kim Jun Un, there is no threat of attack from North Korea. In addition, Trump mentions that he feels as if the world of politics and the White House is very untrustworthy and “vicious.” He also wants to impose more tariffs on China because he wants China to change to an open market. Also, Trump global warming issues as an issue that will resolve it self in the future, but most definitely exist. Last but not least, he addresses Kavanaugh’s accuser saying they treated her with respect, even after saying she faked her story and dissing the #MeToo movement. This is important to America’s government because it mentions international relationships and political issues.
Do you feel as if Trump is being to public with his opinions by interviews or tweets? Do you agree with some of the issues Trump addresses?

ReplyDeleteI thought that it was very strange that he describes his cabinet as "untrustworthy" for several reasons. First, he picked these people, so it's odd that he doesn't seem to like or respect them. Second, I think this language displays a fundamental misunderstanding of the role of politicians in the US: he says that he thinks they're going to stab him in the back and that they aren't loyal, but they shouldn't have personal loyalty to him in any case-- their loyalty should be to democracy in the US, not to the personage of the President.

I think Trump was very disrespectful and I would say shallow on Dr.Ford's accusation of Justice Kavanaugh
ReplyDeleteI feel like Trump is almost going out of his way to prove that he is a certain way or that he supports a certain issue.I don't think going on national TV is the best look for the "leader" of the country. The more he shares his personal opinion, the more distant he gets from the people.
ReplyDeleteI feel like the more Trump talks the more idiotic he seems. He has contradicted himself multiple times and is very obviously not qualified for the position he is in. He is a conniving business man NOT a president. He is completely wrong about how global warming will resolve itself in the future because there wont be a a future if we don't make drastic changes to our way of life. Trump sounds like a delusional conspiracy theorist and should stay away from the media for his own good.

I don't think Trump is presenting a proper image of a president in this interview. Put aside the contents of his dialogues, his choice of diction has conveyed his conflicting and erratic emotions toward the White House which are highly improper to be presented to the public. Back to the specific contents of his dialogues, I think that the President should be more careful and precise with his description of the White House and the recent case of Kavanaugh.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the fact that the world of politics is untrustworthy, but that includes Trump! He shouldn't act like he's removed from it all. I rest I don't agree with. I do think that Trump is too public with his opinions and that he needs to work on thinking before speaking.
ReplyDeleteI think that it's rude for Trump to say the White House is untrustworthy because he hand picked some of those members.
ReplyDeleteI do not agree with any of Trump's opinions and am extremely confused as to his statement about his cabinet being "vicious" if he was the one who picked them for the job. Trump is definitely too public with his opinions which often yields embarrassment for the entire country.
